Price GoPro HD Helmet Hero Review
GoPro HD Helmet Hero,ContourROAM Hands-free HD Camcorder Read all the reviews online and was a little skeptical of the quality of video this unit would take. Purchased it anyway and was blown away by the quality of video. Camera is simple to use, but pay close attention to the screen when starting the camera up. While the unit is on the helmet mount it can have the default settings changed and it may not be taking the video you want. My camera default was changed and it took 890 pictures before I realized what was going on. I missed the video but had lots of great photos that I really have no use for, even though it does take great still photos also. I installed a 16GB card which is more memory than the unit will shoot with a full battery charge on 960. I would recommend if you are planning on shooting lots of video without a place to charge, buy the extra battery. Its cheap and great insurance that you won't miss that shot. Sound quality is muted with the waterproof case but I don't plan on using the audio on motorcycle clips anyway. Buy and Enjoy!
Canon VIXIA HF M40 Full HD Camcorder Sale
Canon VIXIA HF M40 Full HD Camcorder,Panasonic HDC-TM90K 3D Compatible Camcorder I had an old Canon camcorder that used digital tape. I looked at some cutting edge camcorders, even a model that could use lenses from my still camera, but I just felt the technology wasn't there yet given the price. Since I was about to go on a once in a lifetime trip and needed a replacement now for my old Canon, I opted for Canon VIXIA HF M41 HD Camcorder because it packed a lot of memory with great optics for a great price. I'd much rather spend more money on better quality optics and less money on unneeded frills. The M41 did not fail me in that regard. I could not believe the quality of images I got from this camera. I have always said that the deciding factor in choosing one digital camera over another should be the same as that in film cameras ==> namely the OPTICS. It doesn't matter how large your CCD (i.e. megapixels) is, if you have a crappy lense all you will get is a high resolution crap. This camera, even it its full manual mode, is incredible... and if you opt to use the electronic aids available you will be impressed with its ease of use. For the money, I think you can't beat this camera. The one drawback is the microphone. It does pickup wind noise. On a mountain top, standing about 15 feet away from the camera, if I wasn't facing the camera directly, the wind noise obliterated even a very loud conversation. If you think you might video in windy conditions buy an external microphone... however, for most casual camcorder use (family gatherings, etc.) I suspect the built in microphone is probably adequate.

I've been looking for a good non-stick pan for years and have never been satisfied with the durability or performance of the products I've purchased. I became interested in getting away from teflon when I read that the non-stick process of this product does not "kill the canary". I've been reading about the dangers of conventional teflon and was looking for an alternative. This pan has ended my search.
It is exactly as advertised, heats evenly, does not stick, cleans up without effort and is a pleasure to use. Everything I've cooked in this pan has been perfect, even things that usually stick like teriyaki just get a nice glaze without sticking. Blackend fish just slides out and leaves no residue and even a pan-fried crust browns well and uses less oil. I plan to expand my collection with more of this product.
Shop Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 9-Inch Skillet
Product Description
Le Creuset Enameled Cast Ir Inch Skillet , Color: Cherry Red Product Description Whether frying eggs or baking individual tarts or apple crisp, the smaller capacity of this enameled cast-iron skillet makes it easy to prepare a variety of classic foods on the stovetop or in the oven. The compact unit measures 9 inches in diameter, holds up to 1-3/8 quarts, and comes with two nondrip spouts--one on each side to accommodate left- and right-handed pouring. Use the skillet for anything from searing and sauteing to tenderizing, frying, and deglazing--its shallow base and gently sloping sides create rapid evaporation and make it simple to flip food or slide it from the pan to a plate.
Made of heavy-duty cast iron, the cookware's exterior features a colorful, long-lasting enamel that resists chipping and cracking, while its interior provides a durable, black enamel finish (no seasoning required) to seal in juices for succulent, tender results. As cast iron is unexcelled for even heat distribution and superior heat retention, and enamel is impervious to acids and odors, the skillet cooks food uniformly and gently without hot spots and can be used for marinating, cooking on the stovetop, or finishing in the oven. The skillet also provides a sturdy, integrated iron handle with an opposite helper handle for secure transport, and it can be safely used at any oven temperature, under the broiler, and on any stovetop, including induction. Beautiful enough for the table yet durable enough to outlive its lifetime limited warranty, the skillet should be hand washed for best results.

I am generally pleased with the product, but it will certainly take some time for the cast iron to cure, create its patina, and hopefully thereafter be non stick without using oil. So far I have been using a minimal amount of oil, but everything I put in it tends to stick and leave a crust on the bottom. I followed all the directions in the booklet, and am not subjecting the pan to abrupt changes of temperature. When put to soak, the crust unsticks readily without strong abrasion. I look forward to the pan eventually deciding not to stick under any circumstances!

This is our Third Scanpan, and we love them. Quite simply the best non-stick cookware we have found.
Let me give a quick background - After we collected All-Clad for several years, it was evident that the non-stick All-Clad was not up to the task. It began to get old and clean-up became tiresome and difficult as the All-Clad non-stick coating wore down and honestly stopped working. We also own some of the All-Clad stainless that is "supposed" to be non-stick based on heating it first, but I find that to be untrue. For pots and other cookware we still like it.
Scanpan has become our favorite cookware over the last 3 years, and the first one purchased is as clean and effective as this brand-new one. No visible wear or tear at all, and a breeze to clean up. We started with the small 8 inch, then the 10 inch, and now the 12 inch to round out our collection and replace our last All-Clad non-stick. It is all very durable and fast to heat up, giving perfect even heating across the pan. All of our pans are the CTX line, which we found to be a bit more heavy duty and well built than the cheaper line- thicker with a better handle. I can't speak to how the cheaper line may work. My only small complaint is only during clean-up - the small steel buttons where the handle is attached is a bit harder to clean, and by saying this you know we are spoiled because the rest of the pan is clean with a wipe of a paper towel or cloth, then you have to scrub the buttons for a few seconds to remove food from them. No biggie. If only they were made from the same material!
I can't say enough about these - they are all we use now. Highly recommended and well worth the extra money!

I love my All Clad pots and pans but their non-stick products fall short (I have to replace them after one year). Someone turned me on to Swiss Diamond non-stick pans and they are terrific. Unlike All Clad - I can use high heat and brown food as well. They're particlarly good for fish, eggs, and polenta. So far, they've held up really well and I see no signs of wear after six months.

Product Description
All Clad Copper Core 10 Inch Fry Pan , Size: 10 IN Review The ultimate in beautiful, high-performance cookware, All-Clad's innovative Copper Core collection combines the unexcelled heat conductivity of copper with the easy maintenance of stainless steel. Crafted in a unique five-ply construction, the cookware contains a core of pure copper that spreads heat quickly and evenly across the bottoms of pots and pans and all the way up the sides. The interior is highly polished, so it's stick- as well as corrosion-resistant. Rolled edges on pots and pans help prevent drips during pouring and ensure tight-fitting lids.
This beautiful, classic, slope-sided fry pan demonstrates why All-Clad's worldwide reputation is unsurpassed. It's 10 inches in diameter, perfect for searing a hunk of halibut or a hanger steak. Its polished 18/10 stainless-steel handle is riveted to the pan for strength, grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort, and holed in the end for hanging on a hook or peg. This review is from: All-Clad Copper-Core Fry Pan
I'd like to give this 10 stars as I had no idea the difference a pan like this could make.
I have had it for a week and have used it for crab cakes (crab, egg, and breading), omelets, sauteed vegetables, and thick-cut pork chops. I mention these items because in my old Farberware stainless steel pans, sticking, uneven cooking, and uneven browning were a problem that I thought was just my lack of skill.
Heat distribution is perfect all over, i.e., the items on the outside cook the same in the same amount of time as those on the inside. Browning is effortless and beautiful! The fond on the bottom of the pan is not burned and deglazing is a breeze. Since I could only afford the one pan so far, I sometimes cook alongside my other pans. It's like switching from driving a Ford Pinto to a Mercedes (or so I imagine) and back again.
Cleanup has been great! So far I haven't had any problems with stuck food - the delicate crab cakes held together when I flipped them (with a gorgeous golden crust), and the omelets released easily. I used just enough butter and oil to cover the bottom of the pan, and it got hot enough to cook the food in the right amount of time to keep the food from absorbing too much oil and tasting greasy, without getting so hot that it scorched or stuck.
The pan is definitely heavier than what I'm used to, but the balance is perfect and handling it is not a problem. The handle stays very cool, surprisingly so...it has barely even gotten warm. Finally, the icing on the cake is how absolutely beautiful this pan is. It is definitely a display piece. I can only afford two items in this line per year, but my collection is started and there is NO going back.
If you really love the process and adventure of cooking, this is an investment you will never regret!!!

Scanpan Professional is made from a core of solid squeeze-cast aluminum, forged into shape with 200 tons of pressure. Scanpan Professional is safe to use with metal utensils and comes with a Lifetime Warranty. Made in Denmark.
From the Manufacturer

About Green Tek Nonstick Technology:
In the more recent past, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken the leading manufacturer of nonstick compounds to task over excessive emissions of PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid). PFOA has been used as a catalyst in the production of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), the basic building block for all nonstick cookware surfaces.
PFOA is a chemical that is hard to break down in the environment. It has a half life of 3.8 years, meaning that if there are 4 grams of PFOA in the body today, the body will have 2 grams in it in four years from now, 1 gram in eight years from now and so on. The human metabolism does not remove PFOA. While it is not a carcinogen or toxin and is generally assumed inert and not harmful to your health, it is environmentally unfriendly and just sticks around forever. That is why the EPA and the leading nonstick manufacturer have agreed that by 2010, the amount of PFOA used to produce PTFE compounds need to be cut by 95%, and by 2015 no PFOA could be used, at all.
Towards the end of this process, PFOA is completely extracted via ionization filters. Even if any traces of PFOA were still present by the time the nonstick compound reached the cookware factory, the pan surface curing temperatures would destroy such remnants. The same is true for the old nonstick compound used for Scanpan Classic and Scanpan Professional. That's why Scanpan has always been able to present the finished product as not containing PFOA. Why Scanpan ?
Scanpan Cookware has always been PFOA free, but the negative publicity that PFOA and, by extension, PTFE had received over the last few years, had caused Scanpan to work closely with their suppliers to find a substitute for PFOA that is biodegradable. Scanpan received patents on PFOA-free technology in 2007 and has been producing Scanpan Classic and Scanpan Professional with this new process since spring 2007. With their new Green Tek technology, there is no PFOA used at any stage of the entire process, resulting in a "clean and green" nonstick PTFE compound, the production of which no longer uses chemicals that could have a negative impact on the environment.
The performance of the Scanpan Green Tek surface is not different in any way from the performance of Scanpan's previous surface. And Scanpan continues to incorporate their patented ceramic-titanium technology. Scanpan is safe to use with metal utensils and each piece comes with a lifetime warranty.
Taking Care of Scanpan Professional Cookware:
1. Before first use, remove all packing materials, labels, and tags, and wash pan in hot, soapy water. Rinse well and dry.
2. Heat pan to working temperature. Medium heat is typically sufficient for frying and sauteing. Since each stove top has its own settings, find the best heat setting for your stove by starting at a lower setting, then gradually increase until water splashed on the pan surface evaporates immediately with a sizzle. High heat can be used for other applications, like boiling water, stir frying, oven roasting etc. Note: Scanpan Professional is oven safe to 500 degrees F.
3. Scanpan Professional can be used without oil, butter, or other seasonings, making it especially suitable for low fat diets.
4. After use, remove food and clean Scanpan cookware with warm, soapy water. Scanpan Professional wipes clean with a sponge. Scanpan Professional is dishwasher safe. Scanpan recommends using extra care if you decide to clean the pans in the dishwasher to prevent damage to plates, glassware, etc.
5. When storing Scanpan cookware and nesting (placing smaller pots inside larger pots) is required due to space limitations, we recommend placing a paper or cloth towel between the pots and pans to prevent scuff marks.

I have had a set of Scan Pans for many years now, and bought this one because I needed a small egg frying pan that was as great of quality as my Scan Pans. I was delighted! For the first time in 20yrs, I can flip my egg without breaking the yoke! And it is just the perfect size to fry up bacon and eggs for 2!
Also, the handle on this type of pan is what you will want if you have any wrist problems like I do. Spend a little extra for this professional version because it does make a difference.
Just a note about this company, one of the other pans from my set purchased years ago when the product first came up had a few very small dings of some sort on the inside. None of the other pans had this and I was not sure how they got there. Well, after I bought this pan, I decided to contact Scan Pan and ask about my other one. They said to just send it back in to the warranty dept and they would be happy look at it. ( I did not even have a receipt because I had them so long )
Within a short amount of time, I had a new pan of that type (but updated since the other was older model) on my doorstep.
This is a company of their word! And these pans are worth every single penny of the purchase price!!!

This review is from: Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 10-1/4-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, Cobalt Blue (Kitchen)
After reading about the cancer-causing properties of Teflon, I got rid of my Teflon cookware and purchased the 10" and 9" LeCreuset skillets. I was a little skeptical at first because I had tried cast iron before and wasn't happy with their results and upkeep and general dirtiness (Hey, it is not for everyone). What more can I say then I am completely sold on my LeCreuset now.
This is what I have found: Though they are less 'sticky' then stainless, they are not as non-stick as Teflon. They clean up just as well as my stainless. I can pick up the hot skillet bare-handed without an oven-mitt, but it does get warm. My 10" skillet chipped (a small chip) when I accidentally banged the edge against the other skillet so you have to be careful when wielding them. And compared to stainless, they weigh a tonne.
All in all, I am completely satisfied with them as a Teflon replacement, and will buy them again when the need arises.
