We have been very happy with the Sharp TV which we use in our bedroom. We particularly like it with the Sharp BD player & HDMI connections so we can take advantage of the Aquos Link and get by with only one remote for the two units. We also like the TV sound feature in which the output can go to an external sound bar and the volume can then be controlled by the TV.

After a couple weeks of research and many hours standing in front of TVs at Best Buy - the Sharp LC60LE830U turned out to be a great choice. I assumed the finalist would be either a Sony or Samsung model, but this Sharp beats the competition. Picture and sound are excellent. The on-screen menus are very user-friendly with numerous alternatives for custom settings. Built-in WiFi works great. Amazon's price, with free white glove delivery makes this a no-brainer.

I have had this TV for almost a month and am completely satisfied with the performance. It is compact, thin and easy to set up--just follow the instructions on the screen after you have turned it on. The color was a little "washed out." I went into the color adjustment option and "tweaked" it a little. There is a protocol during the set-up that helps you select the color reception, however it proved not to be what I really wanted, so I did it manually. Now it is clear, sharp and very natural looking. I also adjusted the sound quality the same way. I feel this TV will rank with any more expensive Sony or Panasonic for quality and reception. If you are looking for a excellent, small 22" for the kitchen or bedroom, this is a keeper. The only problem, and it is a minor one, was during the "auto-scan" process to search for TV stations. It warns that it could take as much as 20 minutes--and it did. I had to do this three times since it turned itself off after about 15 minutes twice before completing the scan. It could have been my cable supplier, but don't worry. Be patient and all will be terrific.

Bought this TV as a slave off the living room TV (also a Samsung). This TV has a great picture, slim light size with ample features. Sound is a bit tinny on the high end if turned up high but usually not noticeable, YMMV. Easy setup and color calibration. I loved that it has VESA mount screw holes in back that work great with the amazon basics wall mount arm. The remote is kinda cheap feeling but well built. I don't use it since this is slaved from another TV. Would definitely consider this for any other room where a smallish utility TV is needed.

Did a ton of research on TV's before making a purchase on this set. I settled on this one for a few key reasons.
1)Cnet really likes the quality of Samsung screens
2)I wanted an LED screen because they are thin and sleek, this one has a great look
3)I don't need internet apps because I have an Apple TV (seriously consider this and save some bucks(no hulu though))
4)Almost all the screens I've seen that friends own with 120Hz have that function turned off (soap opera effect)
5)Got a screamin deal off Amazon Warehouse Deals
For all of these reasons, this TV is a great fit for me. I was worried about a few things going into it though.
1)I read a lot about light bleeding in from the edges because of the edge-lit technology. After straight up plug and play for a few weeks now, I am totally pleased with the picture. In frames with all low level blacks, it does have a bit of a hard time blending smoothly though, and eventually I have seen a couple scenes of very low light where there are very very faint white light shadows creeping in from the corners towards the center of the screen. All in all though, it really has only bothered me once or twice, and I was trying to find them. Just watching the screen like a normal viewer, the picture is great.
2)People have complained about poor sound quality. I live in a small studio apartment, so I don't have a sound system, and I was worried about this, but I've found the sound to be totally adequate for my small space. If you are an audiophile in a large living room then you will definitely need a sound system, but you probably have that anyway. I usually have the speakers set to 20-40 out of 100 (increments of 1 are nice).
So for all that and just another couple minor things keep me from rating this a total 5 stars:
1)The remote looks like it was designed for and elderly person. Sure, it's easy to read the buttons and find them, but it looks and feels like one of those big button touch tone phones. Totally functional though, and I basically only use it for volume and source selection.
2)The HDMI inputs are just behind the beveled edge facing out to the right side, so if the cords going in are relaxed, they are visible from the side. I have a cord management piece going behind the center of the screen, so the cords have a little torque on them to turn 180 to get there. Minor inconvenience, but the screen is 1.2 inches thick, and I guess those things have to go somewhere.
3)The box arrived with a gaping hole in it and I could see the screen through it, yikes! I don't know if it left Warehouse Deals like that or if it was a shipping thing, but I thought someone put their foot through it. Turns out everything is fine, whew.

I'm not really into 3D (yet) so I was basically looking for a TV that has 1080p and 120hz. I used to own a Panasonic TC-P42X1 and was very impressed by it. It didn't bother me that it is a plasma and only has 720p. Picture quality was awesome and absolutely had no complaints.
TC-L4U30 did just that but better.
There's very little configuration to get this unit going out of the box. Picture is crisp and the colors are full and rich. The sound was surprisingly good, far better than my previous unit. I thought the surround sound option was on but I looked in the settings and it isn't. I'm loving my purchase so far. I was looking at the other 42" LG but decided to take this instead.
I think I made the right choice.

After researching Bravia TVs, I decided to go ahead with this one since it is one of the newer releases for 2011. I'm glad I waited, as this TV is clearer and more vivid than those of some older models or rival brands. Picture quality is clear with no fog or motion blur. PS3 games and Netflix look absolutely amazing. The only thing this TV needs now is a sound system to broaden the audio experience. If you're having sound issues, try messing around with the 'steady sound' and 'clear voice' options to even things out and make them less muddy.
In stores you may see this TV's picture slightly less bright than others, but that is because of the built in light sensor that's located on the front of the frame. The picture automatically adjusts to best fit it's surroundings, and that's what's truly great. No fussing with brightness settings all the time.
Overall, worth every penny. Stick with Sony and you won't be disappointed.

While I am fairly technologically savvy, I am not a technophile. I have a strong bias toward Sony, so take that into consideration. This TV was easily set up, including connecting it to our wireless internet network, and setting up our Netflix account on it. Now we can directly watch movies from our "Instant Queue" on Netflix on the TV, with no wires. The picture is great, the controls intuitive. We are just starting to utilize the other functions, but for a basic viewer who wants to watch movies this is a good solution. I am very happy with the TV and would recommend it.

After researching Bravia TVs, I decided to go ahead with this one since it is one of the newer releases for 2011. I'm glad I waited, as this TV is clearer and more vivid than those of some older models or rival brands. Picture quality is clear with no fog or motion blur. PS3 games and Netflix look absolutely amazing. The only thing this TV needs now is a sound system to broaden the audio experience. If you're having sound issues, try messing around with the 'steady sound' and 'clear voice' options to even things out and make them less muddy.
In stores you may see this TV's picture slightly less bright than others, but that is because of the built in light sensor that's located on the front of the frame. The picture automatically adjusts to best fit it's surroundings, and that's what's truly great. No fussing with brightness settings all the time.
Overall, worth every penny. Stick with Sony and you won't be disappointed.

I bought this on a whim at a local big-box store after seeing true blacks beat the competing LG 47" model. Everything about the TV is incredible, especially compared to the 32" Toshiba LCD it replaced. The display settings are all adjustable, for example, "Auto Motion Plus" with 1-10 settings for both blur and judder reduction.
It has a USB input on the recessed side and can play Divx AVI files, XVID, and a few video files types. If you're playing a movie file and stop it (accident or otherwise), the 'D button' on the remote will return you to the same spot. The player also has fast forward and rewind. Only minor complaints are the back-lit remote glows orange (cheap) and doesn't even light all of the buttons.
The big problem I have is light leakage in the bottom two corners. On a black screen, you can see this as a flashlight effect pointing at 45 degrees to the middle. I can adjust the settings and come close to fix it, but on a dark movie like "The Descent" - it's still there. This is totally not acceptable, as I bought the TV primarily to watch movies. I'll probably return it in the next few days. Maybe for the same, or the LG 47" model. I'd read this was a big problem with low-end edge-lit LED models so this is a bit disappointing.
