Product Description
Product Description
Steam out wrinkles quickly and easily with Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron this 1200-watt iron. The unit's stainless-steel curved nonstick soleplate provides smooth, gentle gliding, and its temperature ranges from 176 to 392 degrees F to accommodate a variety of different fabrics. Turn the temperature dial to choose from five fabric settings; a handy reference chart for fabrics and temperatures comes printed on the iron's base. For added convenience, use the iron's push-button spray mist to direct extra moisture where it's needed most or the jet-of-steam function for a powerful burst of steam to blast away stubborn wrinkles--or to clean the steam vents after ironing. Its adjustable steam allows for selecting the right amount of steam for the job--regular steam for heavier material or light steam for quick touch-ups; or choose the "dry" setting for no steam output. With the push of a button, the iron can also be used to vertically steam drapery, hanging garments, and other household items. To ensure safety, its electronic sensor automatically shuts off the iron after 10 minutes if left upright on its heel rest or after 60 seconds if left unmoved on its soleplate or if tipped over on its side. Other highlights include a see-through 5-2/5-ounce water tank that detaches for easy filling, an anti-calcium system that keeps vents free from build-up, and a push-button retractable cord reel for tidy cord storage. With its Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, the iron measures 10-2/5 by 4-2/7 by 5-2/7 inches.

This review is from: Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron with Stainless-Steel Soleplate (Kitchen)
I love this iron. I had planned to get another Black and Decker iron, like I'd had before. But after reading the reviews of them I decided to look at other brand reviews. I found this Panasonic NI-C78SR Steam/Dry Iron w/Stainless Steel Soleplate and read the reviews. It's really a neat little iron. Not too expensive, not too heavy and it works quite well. Some didn't like the removable water container. I like it just fine... it's easy to remove, holds plenty of water... more than my old steam irons... and it's easy to empty. I read all the directions re. getting all the water out of the iron by emptying it after each use, as well as pushing the steam button to remove excess moisture still in the iron. I've had it about 2 months and I'm very pleased with it. It's well made, as long as you don't abuse it in a rough manner, and the retractable cord is a nice plus. Just read the easy directions before you use it, follow them, and you'll have a good iron that should last a long time.
